Albeit cliche as it may sound, i miss my secondary school days. For the times that i may have whined and bitched 'bout how my secondary school days sucks, i just came to realize that i really miss the silly and stupid things i did with my classmates.I was actually one of those whom you can associate as the "kuai kia" meaning a goody-two-shoes kinda person. I don't break the school rules. I don't talk back to teachers. Ok maybe i do but not directly at their faces. Bitch 'bout them is more like it ahahahaha. My bestie Fern happens to be someone whom is really unexpected. I knew her as an airhead back during my sec 1 days and i don't really have a good impression of her (i didn't chat with her thorughout my sec 1 years..erm maybe i did but not that much i suppose?) and the only time when i got to really know her better was during my sec 2 days. I was forced to sit beside her 'cos there wasn't any place to sit. So i guess that's how we became best buds for years to come. Not only that, i still remember the first time i met another bestie of mine Clara. That was in secondary 3. I remembered having no place to sit, so i sat beside her. I knew her reputation wasn't good back during my sec 1-2 days. But as i talked to her more and we call each other up and had meaningful conversations throughout the later years, i realize that you shouldn't believe what other people say bout the other person meaning don't judge a book by its cover. Being friends with these 2 of them, sure have our ups and downs. We quarrel, we fought, they cried (i don't cos being MCP-minded haha) we've bitched, they've introduced me to their boyfriends. We sure have come a long way. I LOVE you girls hahaha. Thanks for being there for me when i was down and out, for listening to my problems and for staying true to yourself. No matter how busy we are, i know you girls are still for there for me when i need a pair of listening ears or just to hang out with (((((((((((((:I remember the first formation of Xephonia. How we used to have so many members but it slowly dwindle to the current few in our group. Sigh. Oh well. But i'm glad that Xephonia still keeps in touch despite our hectic and crazy schedule.Next, i still remember the terrible fight between me and clare dear during our sec 5 years. We're basically giving each other the cold shoulders. I can't remember what it was about already (its 2 long years how do you expect a person to hold onto a grudge for that long??) but we talked it through. Things didn't go back to normal straight after that. It was a rocky recovery but i'm glad me and clare are still able to confide with each other after so long (((((: Not forgetting the troubled relationship between her and *ahem* some certain asshole. I still remember the classic incident whereby hazim hurt his arm when he was goofing around with jin yang, nicholas and abraham (i think). The shattered glass severed his vein on his thumb and he was warded in the hospital. I went to visit him though haha. Gave him my well-wishes. Now he has fully recovered and he's studying in Nanyang Poly. Not only that, i still remember bitching 'bout the teachers in our school. Like how our class hated chinese lesson especially Ms Lee. Our class literally hated her to the core (as most of my classmates are english-speaking) and how she will shut us up when we talk during lessons. And how she will seperate us if we continue talking. And my 3 favourite teachers, Ms Salinah (my ex e-maths teacher now posted to ACSI), Mdm Kamisah (one of the best english teacher i had) and Mr Azhar (by my reckoning, one of the best history teacher ever!!!). Not forgetting Ms Khor (our chemistry and physics teacher posted to St Nicks), Mr Eddie Yong (our sec 4 e-maths teacher and mentor), Ms Foong (our mentor for sec 5), Mr San (our PE teacher), Mr Razak(our DM)Oh oh oh not forgetting the food at the canteen. Food in our school is the most-talked about topic. I hated this western stall because the food they serve are not up to standard. I'm not picky and you'll see why when i continue. The fish they serve are NOT fresh (it reeks of this fishy smell that has not been refrigerated for the last 2-3 days), their noodle taste like rubber band(yuck!!!!) and the rice taste like leftover rice from the day before yesterday. Not only that, the utensils are not clean. There seems to have a coating of oil left on the utensils. And i heard an unlucky person got a cockroach that has fallen into their food. Yeah it's raising goosebump on me now and if it isn't for you, i think there's something wrong. But the most popular stall is our school's pride and joy *drum-roll and applause please* Khamisah's Nasi Padang stall. This food stall have numbers and numbers of student qeueing up just for their Nasi Padang especially their drumstick. And i remember that Xephonia member will definitely have to rush down to the canteen to "chop" places lest its taken up by other people. Sometimes even when recess time is up, students will try to squeeze in that last few minutes to try and buy the Nasi Padang.Last but not least, upon our graduation from secondary school, it was a bittersweet moment. Despite our school's prom night not being held in a fancy hotel, where do you get that kind of entertainment value that a hotel might not provide? The most memorable night for me was that the dancefloor was opened and me and my friends were boogeying on the floor. Ok since it lacks the ambience and the atmosphere, i guess its this "bondedness" that we have among our own cliques that make the prom night an event to remember.I seriously miss the good, bad, funny and silly times we had. It will be etched forever in my heart and memory despite how sucky the school is.Labels: Bitching, Miss, Prom Night, School, Teachers
